After high school, he tried his hand in other areas outside of the family business. He ran an internet busness for a few years and put in several years at SEL. But when Duane and Janet decided sell the shop, it seemed like an obvious choice for Ron to take over. In August of 2010, owership of Peck's Shoe Clinic transfered to Ron, and Duane and Janet enjoyed retired life, traveling around showing off their amazing hot rods and spending time with family and friends whenever possible. Today, Ron runs the shop with the same quality work ethics instilled into him by three previous generations of craftsman and the added convenience and expertise of modern technology and always improving material and techniques.

The Peck's Shoe Clinic Story

Ron Peck grew up in Peck's Shoe clinic. As a young boy he would walk to the shop after school. There, he would do his homework and help out in the shop where he was able. Whether it was sweeping up, dumping trash cans, or preping boots and shoes for his father to repair, he learned the ins and out of the industry at a very early age. As he grew, Ron was given more responsibilities and duties. As a young man, he worked part time at the shop while in high school. He knew sales, repair, inventory, merchandising, and enough to run the shop while Duane and Janet traveled and enjoyed some time away. He and his father attended shows and conferences together to learn the latest techniques and skills needed to continue to deliver the best service and products to their customers.
